The EASe Listening Therapy app, developed by Audioforge Labs and Vision Play, LLC, in collaboration with Vision Audio Inc., was researched at Brenau University in 2012 and demonstrated effectiveness in alleviating auditory hypersensitivity among children with sensory processing disorders (SPD), including those on the autism spectrum.

Designed specifically for children who exhibit heightened reactions to noise, the EASe Listening Therapy app offers a structured approach to sound exposure. It utilizes music as a medium to present short, intense bursts of sound, thereby creating a diverse sensory palette that aids children in adapting to common auditory environments. This long-term listening therapy program is touted for its advanced functionality compared to traditional hardware solutions valued at $10,000.

The app features four distinct modes:

1. No Subscription: This mode allows users to assess all app features without any payment obligations, albeit limited to a single song. Many children with autism and SPD have benefited from previous EASe music CDs; this mode serves as an introductory opportunity to explore the app's potential.
2. Legacy: In this mode, users can purchase or download additional modules they already own. Modules from other EASe applications are transferable via iCloud.
3. Guided: This user-friendly mode eliminates the need for manual settings adjustments. Users can simply log in and start their sessions, providing feedback through two follow-up questions. Users can track their achievements and review previous session details.
4. Pro: Pro mode offers comprehensive access to all modules without separate purchases. Users can customize parameters such as burst duration, gaps, frequencies, and ear levels. Additionally, Pro allows for the sharing of personalized settings via email, even with users who do not hold a pro subscription. Future updates are planned to introduce more features such as notch filters and bass bursts, positioning Pro mode particularly for therapists.

For those opting for Legacy, Guided, or Pro subscriptions, payments will be charged to the iTunes account with renewals occurring 24 hours before the current period concludes. Auto-renewal options can be adjusted in the iTunes Store settings post-purchase. Subscription pricing includes USD $11.99 for Legacy (3 months), USD $49.99 for Guided (3 months), and USD $99.99 for Pro (6 months), with variations possible by location.
